SPEAKERS & AGENDA
Achieving the ultimate performance with KVM (Boyan Krosnov). In this session, we will discuss a private cloud setup with KVM achieving 1M IOPS per hyper-converged (storage+compute) node. We will answer the question: What is the optimum architecture and configuration for performance and efficiency?
CloudStack: A Service Managers Perspective (Maria Barta). Agile business processes are becoming increasingly important in successful IT services. Itelligence Global Managed Services GmbH, too, provides many different ultra flexible and highly adaptable cloud solutions. In order to ensure customer/user satisfaction (i.e. availability, data security and product transparency) and simultaneously facilitate effective agile product development within our team, the role of the service manager is steadily evolving. The talk will provide an insight to the benefits and limitations of CloudStack in relation to the service manager objectives and our attempt to overcome these in our specific internal IaaS solution.
What’s new in CloudStack 4.13. (Paul Angus). CloudStack 4.13 is due for release this summer. With 100s of updates and new features, Paul will go through user features, operator features and integrations, demonstrating just how much work and development is going into CloudStack.
Challenges with high-density networks (Marian Marinov). In cloud environments, the network is considered a given and almost limitless resource. You get an interface and you are told its bandwidth capacity. From the perspective of the client, this is true. But from the perspective of the provider, this is far from the truth. In this talk, Marian will take a look at some DataCenter network designs and what technologies / protocols are used to battle the problem with high-density clouds. You will learn about VXLAN and “L3” switching.
