Dell NetWorker integrates with Apache CloudStack through a native backup plugin introduced in version 4.18. This plugin enables administrators to register a NetWorker backup server and configure policies that protect instances running on KVM hypervisors. Backup jobs (full and incremental) are managed directly within CloudStack and stored on external backup storage targets such as Data Domain. Administrators can schedule, monitor, and restore backups without needing to leave the CloudStack interface, improving operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with disaster recovery strategies.
