The integration between Apache CloudStack and Proxmox VE is implemented through the new Extension Framework. It allows administrators to manage Proxmox instances directly from the CloudStack UI and API. The extension supports core Instance lifecycle action operations (create, start, stop, reboot, delete), custom action operations (CreateSnapshot, DeleteSnapshot, RestoreSnapshot, ListSnapshots), and works with external Templates and ISOs. This enables organisations to leverage existing Proxmox environments while benefiting from CloudStack’s automation, security model, and unified user experience.
